The lively resort of Sunny Beach is just 4km along the coast, with its superb beaches, amazing nightlife, shops, bars, restaurants, markets and waterparks.
During the day the 6km stretch of fine white sand is the focus of this purpose built tourist resort, whilst in the evening the promenade boasts literally hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops to while away your evening. Sunny Beach has something to offer everyone with plenty of entertainment for the children and the "big kids!!" - waterparks, bungee ropes, go karts, ten-pin bowling, childrens play area, a fun fair and a vast array of water based activities. It has the main food chains, such as McDonalds plus hundreds of other quality restaurants dotted around the resort.
The late night clubs and bars in Sunny Beach are legendary, so if staying out until the early hours is your scene - Sunny Beach is the place!
The local bus service from St. Vlas to Sunny Beach will cost approximately 1 Leva per journey (less than 50p), whilst a taxi is around 15 Leva (£6). The majority of taxis based on the Dinevi resort use a fixed fare policy (prices can be agreed before you get in). In our opinion it is best to get a number for one of these drivers and ring to be collected when you are ready. Local taxis in Sunny Beach may be metered and costs tend to be higher - ALWAYS AGREE A PRICE BEFORE GETTING IN A TAXI. METERED FARES CAN BE CRIMINALLY HIGH.
A visit to Sunny Beach is a must whilst you holiday in Bulgaria, it is a very busy vibrant tourist area that appeals to the 18 to 30 age groups. It is a fun place to visit in the early evening, but can get quite boustrous in the early hours of the morning.
If nothing else, a visit to Sunny Beach will make you really glad you chose to holiday in the far classier resort of St. Vlas!!
